The Council's IntroductionThe adrenaline finally kicked in. The knife in his shoulder now seemed nonexistent. Reaching back he tore the blade clean from his bone, only hissing slightly. The world around him now seemed nothing more than a blur with sinister spirits all around him. Throwing the knife to the right he struck one of his pursuers directly in the heart. A scream and a thud assured him that they would no longer be a threat. Turning to the left he kicked the air, just missing his target.
